HS ball is great for stats and news articles but the competition is typically low and the season is at the same time as college - coaches will not see her! TB with college showcasing is a way to get her seen but she must tell the coaches she is there and when. As another responded those 200...
Put a slightly deflated volleyball or soccer ball on a tee and have her hit that. It will help her build muscle mass, develop the hit through at contact and it will not go very far so easily done anywhere.
You can also work on mechanics and check things before, during and after contact...
My daughter pitches in college and cannot be with Hillhouse during the summer. If there is a pitching coach in the Baltimore area that can work her in she would appreciate it.

Here is a different one. My DD were noticing an old place kicker who wore different shoes on his feet and she posed the question could a pitcher wear a metal cleat on one foot (landing) and a plastic cleat on the other (push off)? She didn't think it would be allowed I think it shouldn't matter.
My DD had back problems from overloading her throwing side. Since doing core training she has balanced herself out and never had a reoccurrence. Get with a good strength and conditioning coach and always look to balance out her left and right sides.
Just thought I wouldchimein on this. My DD has tried all types. Least controllable was flip. Horseshoe might just be a grip where the thumb and fore finger make a circle on the 'horseshoe' portion of the laces.
DD holds her like that, while digging the middle finger into the lace next to...
Just to bring this up again, how much grooming is a pitcher (or team dad) allowed to work the dirt? Recently my DD pitched a tourney with huge ruts on Saturday. When we returned for Sunday games I brought a hammer and mallet to pound in the dirt. I got reprimanded by the other coach (tourney...
If both girls are in the field you can substitute. Our #1 and #2 play 1B and P so they are both out there. If one is more effective against a portion of the order then we can swap them during the innings with no problems. They only get one warm up time per inning so they do not hold up the...
My DD had a peal for a long time. Last year tried the rollover and was getting good results but hurt her elbow due to overuse. Abandoned the roll over and reworked the peel. She sticks with the peel because it looks just like every other pitch. Batter must be able to pick up spin to tell...
As a hillhouse convert from a Finch Hello Elbow I'll tell you why - maxing out! My DD maxed out her speed using HE method. She always had movement and some speed but as the battrs caught up to her @ 15 we began looking for more speed. She had good stride, great core control of her body and...
I would disagree with this. My DD at first year 12 was starting to get good movement. She was 5'5" and throwing hard but still getting hit at 40'. We got on a 43' field to do some practice and found her fastball sometimes had a wicked drop to it with the extra distance. That is when we...
Hillhouse throws one back during pitching lessons that does not spin at all and can throw it behind his back. DD gets a kick out of it every time he does it. She has tried it and got close but could never use it as a pitch. Don't know if BH has ever thrown it in a game but it sure looks...
