    In my opinion, at least in our area, you can't compare Boys HS baseball, basketball coaching to HS/MS softball. It's obvious which teams have good coaches and which ones that don't. Our HS has a constant stream of top flight travel ball players flow through it yet they can never sniff the state...

    Any advice on daughters pitching

    Your 8 yo's form is incredible for her age, great job. Like one poster said, get rid of the 45 degree elbow bend after release and adjust the slight lean forward back a bit and your good to go. I teach my daughter to try and touch her left shoulder after release (righty)

    Just be prepared for about 400 girls to be attending if your daughter is less than 14 so it's more about the "being away from home" and the interaction with the coaches than it is the actual amount of instruction that is given.

    Paid travel coaches

    We paid a D1 player this summer $1000 for 6 tourneys and a couple of practices a week (skipped a week and only had one several weeks), not to mention an all expense paid trip to the beach for last tourney. Not a bad deal for an aspiring coach if you ask me.
