Unreal. Doesn’t even follow the whites house guidelines of 14 days of decline but yet let’s re open businesses and risk more people. And you’re worried about ballparks opening up. Please.
Lighten up Francis, I would love to, once again, go to the ballpark on the weekends with the kids. We have the fields to ourselves 90% of the time on Sundays, but they have been locked up for the past 3-4 weeks. I’m sure our weekend adventure would not help spread the virus.

I think people say what you say "hey, it's just me and my kids, whats the problem" but if someone sees you out there, then they will bring their DD down for a catch, then another Dad (or mom) and DD, and so on till you get about 50-60 Dads playing catch with DD's. Sure, that realistically wont happen, but I guess that's why they locking the parks.....Oh, and nice Stripes reference!

Wife's Hair Salon can open Friday according to an announcement by Gov. Kemp (GA). Additional businesses will start opening on Monday with strict guidelines. Does that mean the ball parks will be opening soon?

Well, getting back to what started the last few posts, if your Governor is saying "Subject to specific social distancing & sanitation mandates, theaters, private social clubs & restaurant dine-in services will be allowed to reopen on Monday, April 27. We'll release more information in the next few days" (sometime its good to read things before commenting) I say that ballfields should be open too. If he is gonna open up enclosed spaces like that, no reason not to open up parks, although still gonna be awhile till tournaments are held. If you are talking about MLB or minor league ballparks, I don't think they will open anytime soon.

Alabama says youth sports, specifically including baseball and softball, can resume on May 11.
That's the recommendation from Ainsworth's group, but it remains to be seen what Gubna Memaw will do. Personally, I'm as anxious to get back to normal as the next person, but there's no way my kids are returning to organized sports before fall.

What's really sad (about Georgia in particular) is that people are just waiting for someone to say "Go!" and they'll go. Kemp is doing this for political reasons, not health reasons. Georgia just set up ICU beds in the Atlanta Convention Center days ago, and in the same breath says "You can go bowling"? The state has cases of coronavirus increasing - we were set to hit a peak in mid-May. All scientists and doctors say this is too soon, along with 85% of the populace, last poll I saw.

There will be people who go out and pass the virus and bring it home and it kills grandma. Girls will put 2 and 2 together and realize that they went and played softball and brought it home and a family member died. That's some heavy stuff.

People, regardless of state and officials decisions, will have to make their own decision when AND what environment they will comfortable interacting in or not.
Their will be young people asking why they cant play, OR why they can and someone else cant.
Think this conversation should be taken with consideration how its spoken.
