I'm not reading all that with you mis-spellings and delusions. Other posters can go back and re-read the posts and decide for themselves.
Just clearing the air with your mis-information.
Like I said stay down Rocky or on a bucket and chart pitches. Let the HC do the coaching. K

Ok you got me. Your right . Your the basst! See what I did there ? Clever huh? Sorry for my poor grammar. I'm a coach not an English savant. Can we move on now?

Gather is bunched together with her 'upper load'. Out of sequence . Hosmer was talking about this in the video FFS posted. Josh Donaldson has mentioned this in his analysis of his own swing. He wants his arms limp. His arms don't get engaged until... until being the key word .

This girl engages her hands/arms FIRST. This is why she has an uppercut swing and can't get off her backside. There are other things. But these are the biggies that need addressing first.

The stretch is not supposed to be between the hands and the front leg/foot.

DD is 'turning' the barrel beside her not rearward. JMHO it's a 'push' type swing. Couple easy tweaks and MIGHT be on her way. Also seems to be a coached finish. Let it happen naturally but, that's a 'nit picky' thing.

This is the drill I would do and try to copy:

Pay attention to the turning the barrel.

Nice to see everyone is trying to get back on track. This post from rdbass was from Page 2 of the thread. In my opinion, this is a good place for the OP to start. Two things:
1) I think the comment about stretch is an important one.
2) Whether you like the young lady's drill or not, what I am focusing on is her hand path. The OP's DD has a downward hand path. Trying to stay 'above the ball' like the girl in the drill rdbass posted is a good goal to have. Whether you want to use this 'drill' or the 'Braun drill' is up to the OP. It's the hand path that I would focus on here.

Cannon. The op hasn't replied once?! Think this was just a pirate thread. An HI ploy to get business. But it was derailed. :)

You are right and I should have kept my nose out of it. Still, on the chance that there was a parent out there that wanted help, I thought I would try to bring some focus back. Carry on.

Can't help myself:

I've found out that in these discussion, and I've been in a few of them, often people miss out on the content due to the style. There are times when a whisper is more effective than yelling. In the end, if you have positive results from any of these philosophies/approaches, more power to you. However, your way is not the only way. I'll say this one more time, I've seen time and time again where someone pushing some philosophy does so while ignoring their own player. A couple of posters here were around during the hitting wars and could, but probably won't, comment, that for some of the posters in the hitting wars, their child ultimately failed due to the system that they were pushing here (briefly) but more on other sites. They didn't recognize it until it was too late for their own. Ultimately, anyone reading these threads need to pick out posters who's opinions they value and then try to glean information from their posts. None of us are going to agree on absolutes of the swing or drill work.

Well that was entertaining, but at least it eventually lead to something usable for the OP. This...

Folks, please review the following video again and take note of what portion of the swing is being timed.

This description IMO is fairly accurate.

You don't time the ball with your 'hands', but with your 'torso'. The reason Hosmer feels the timing this way, IMO, is because he understands the feel of the torso's adductive action 'in a turn'.

Bypassing this, as the girl being discussed does, is not a great thing IMO.

Years ago (long before the "torso" guys had arrived at hitting forums elsewhere, and eventually here) I started telling my hitters to, "Hit the ball with your rear hip" to help them get their "eyes" on timing the ball with proper body parts (or location, so if someone wants to say "torso" so be it...it's not the word, it's the concept), and not with the shoulders and/or hands as most developing hitters starting out try to do.

I too am stepping out of this battlefield thread, and hope all come away with all of their body parts needed to hit...regardless of what anyone's able to see or not.

Best wishes, and good luck to all,

Dad.
I see your daughter, all back, all forward. Back Hip and hands go back together, change that.... Work on a better sequence. Stretch from hands and back hip. Just like throwing. Hips go forward out to toe touch as you separate back. That is the sequence you want...
I like the hands to load more straight back. If looking in a mirror, I have the hitter keep the hands in view and not let them disappear behind the head on the load.
This helps keep your bat path straight through the ball, and helps not to have a circular swing path.
