5FS,

Kudos for the compliment of being young and innocent. It's been a long time, so I appreciate it!

The terminology is relative.

Two short video clips, leaving it to any interested viewers to make their own assessments.

0:20 - 0:25

I don't believe the above is going convince anyone of the existence of a "late jumping rise". It certainly didn't convince me.

Simply a pitch thrown high in the zone.

Here is what Adam's riseball looks like when he throws it somewhat lower ....

Heck of a pitch ... but not the fantasy "late jumping rise" that some folks dream of.

Rather than experience a "late jump", the ball actually levels off.

Its a joke... I've posted before. What I did was make it to show DD a "jumping rise". At the time, she took a short look at it, (not questioning my video tricks) and went on to affirm that she has a rise, to anyone asking how many pitches she had. I wish everything was that easy now. She does throw a climbing pitch, and with the great outfielders she plays with now, get lotz of easy pop-ups

I was trying to set the standard on how it was to be filmed. Sluggers has a standing $500 offer for a clip. A tennis court, that has scalable background...(the post & chainlinks) We can get 900+FPS video pretty easy now.

I have caught a "off the table" that dropped dead on the plate, forcing me to turn my glove, by an old ASA Hall of Famer, in my back yard...no video :(

Yes PC, good example of the measures one must take to deceive people. Those that tell their kids that they throw a “late jumping rise” have to outright lie to their kids, and in some cases do as you did ... and doctor/fabricate video in a desperate attempt to perpetuate the lie.

It is so much easier to stick with reality. Your daughter can not throw a "late jumping rise". She is like anyone else in that regard.

Getting ready to tell her she can hit it over the fence now. Going to get super compressed balls. Instead of video...@ first.
