So in college softball there are stated rules that are not really enforced in order to maintain the entertainment value, just like in professional wrestling?

Lol! All I can do is shake my head at what's being allowed. Betsa's right foot comes off the pitching plate 3 or 4 times each pitch.

There are 2 zones getting called in this game. LSU's pitcher is consistently getting strikes called out of the box and sometimes significantly out of the box. I have no horse in this race and so, am just an observer.

There could be some "frequent flyer miles awarded here with how high Hoover is getting on some of those pitches.

Forget about the strike zone box. I haven't seen a legal pitch thrown yet by Osorio, Parker, or Betsa. Every one has the pushfoot come completely off the ground and at least 6" in front of the pitcher's plate. Seems rather obvious the umpires have told - for whatever reason - to ignore IPs.

Am seeing the same thing. Would this be considered a replant / crow hop? Don't know why they are not pushing off the rubber to get more drive towards the plate. Would think more drive off the rubber will get you close to the plate plus more speed.

No, it doesn't. Just because she is lifting the front of the foot does not mean she is losing contact with the PP. The NCAA rules allow the pitcher to move/slide across the PP and momentarily lose contact as long as that movement does not bring the pivot foot closer to the plate prior to the push and drag

I am just hoping the K-zone is way off, because I haven't seen a good zone called yet otherwise. I have seen quite a few 'spots' light up where clearly the ball hasn't been close to where it lit up. Other times it looks right, but the call went the other way. Hard to say.

That said, current game you can't get high or low, but you can get way in...
Last night you could get really high but pretty much nothing else.
Other game it was random. It was a total guess what the call was going to be unless you throw it dead middle.
