Right, I don't believe what Kelvin is promoting is meant to destroy the FbC action. Far from it.

You are the one that has been confusing parents. I'm simply cleaning up the mystery.

Butter, I'm not new to this rodeo. You know I advocate more than this. When you throw that card you come off as not wishing to have a discussion. Pity. Seemed like a decent topic.

You have had access to Kelvins stuff as long as I have. What was the breakthrough for you? He has been talking about lateral bend and Dr Gracovetsky's stuff for a while now.

For me, I thought Kelvin provided a good description of rear side lateral bend and lordosis. Many referred to that action on these message boards as the spine engine.

How the spine works in a golf swing ....



At ~25-sec mark there is a reference to lateral bend … this is rear side lateral bend.

At ~29-sec mark there is a reference to lordosis ... this is the arching of the rear lower back.

This is the movement I attempt to obtain from hitters with the cue of brushing off the rear butt cheek to start the swing.

Stick, sorry for how confusing this may be.. If FBC rear leg/hip movement pattern is what you're after I will bow out.. Hitting is hard enough the way it is without trying to mix/match movement patterns that aren't compatible..

TDS I would encourage you not to bow out. I thoroughly enjoy your feedback. I continue to learn and I have a long way to go, and yes I do get confused. I am trying to tackle one issue at a time until my younger DD starts to "internalize" her swing movements as my older DD is just beginning to. I appreciate all of the different sets of eyes, and appreciate the time everyone puts in here!

As for Stickpiles DD's...lots of good there in both...not sure why there are no comments on all the frontal plane movement though...CP
