I've been ejected from games twice. The best was at Rockford, Illinois during a basketball game. My DD#3 was on the visiting team.

It was 51-50 with 6 seconds left. There had been many, many questionable calls. They had the ball, and took a shot and missed. My DD went up and got the rebound. A girl from the other team literally *JUMPED* on my DD's back. The girl is choking my DD, and my DD falls backwards on the floor and lands on the girl. The ref called the foul on my DD. (I know it sounds ridiculous. But, it happened. I can give you a list of people who can confirm this.)

I went nuts and was ejected. As I walked by the bench, everyone on my DD's team high-fived me, including the HC and the AC.

Right Here For Now
How does anyone get tossed from rec??? Or maybe my rec is more rec than other rec. WTH?

Oh, it's quite easy. 12u rec. Runner on second and DD hits a screamer of a grounder to SS. SS is playing really deep and runner goes. SS tries a swipe but is 3 feet away. BU calls her out on the tag. This is the fourth bad call in a row.

Me: Really blue? She was 3 feet away from her. Is your depth perception that bad? Maybe I should bring out your seeing eye dog to help.

Tossed.

For the record I've never been tossed, I guess I internalize.

I coached my eldest son in baseball for a decade. One summer we were playing *Ralph's* team. Ralph had a reputation that preceded him. I had no beef, but my AC had it with this guy. And normally my AC was calmer than I was. So one summer game, my son was batting second. Leadoff gets on so I send my son to the plate. As soon as my son takes the box, Ralph charges out of the dugout yelling we are batting out of order so my son is out. Now, I'm not the smartest guy, but I'm pretty sure I knew who my lead off was...and I know what my son looks like. So, I'm like "What are you talking about?" So Ralph shows me the lineup, which somehow has the batting order transcribed as their playing positions. I calmly show him the error of his ways and Ralph heads for the dugout. About half way to the dugout, Ralph comes to some other realization that he is now charging back to share with me. Ralph takes a couple of steps and my AC stands up and shouts "Sit down Ralph, before I make you sit down!" You could have heard a pin drop. All cheering stop and time seemed to stand still. Thankfully, Ralph swallowed his pride and wisely headed back to the dugout. One of our more memorable wins.

lol

Now remember I came from a long baseball backgroud, this was my first year in the softball arena. In baseball our pitching rules were non-negotiable and enforced, it took me a couple of "tossings" to realize in softball.....pitching rules are merely optional and not worth the ink they're printed.

And heck this was coach pitch, and the blue couldn't even get that one right. Imagine once we got to kid pitch, I was asking the blue for "time" more than a man running late to work with no watch.

I had a HS coach that was complaining about strike zone and was warned. He asked blue if he could be ejected for what he was thinking. Blue of course said no........."I think your strike zone sucks".........ejected

I gotta use that one!! IMHO you aren't trying hard enough if you don't get tossed at least once a season. Just kidding.. I have watched more than my fair share of games from the parking lot.. Welcome to the club.

Andy, you have to stop being such a trouble maker!

Cannonball I know! I think a few parents who I have specifically talked to about not chirping at the umpires are having a little private laugh. And rightfully so!

We are going to try to make it out to watch BB's team 12U Collinsville Extreme play. Maybe I'll run in to you at one of these tournaments. I'm sending a pm.
