The tip (negative load) not only sets up a more positive barrel load -untip- (felt in the hands) as the hands begin to flatten and turn - it also is an SSC antagonist to the untip. IOW's you will see most hitters ratchet just a little before the untip. Stretch/contract.

In the context of your question, if I recall why I wrote what I wrote... When the barrel is loaded, the weight of the loaded barrel is behind the hands. If the hands are behind the rear hip and the barrel is loaded, it's damn hard to push.
