One more question which statement is correct did you use the DVD or not? You got me confused.
Both are correct.
They were not available to us when she was 15.
They were available to us when she was around 17 or 18.
We used a number of different sources.
Yeager, Hitter, Tim Walton's dvds, John Malee's dvds and a few notable clinics, Tschida and Sam Findlay.

She continues to use the Bustos dvds.

If don't, good for you. I guess. Knock your socks off.

That's about it.

Here is one more unsolicited kernel of my observation. (I wanted to say wisdom but that's another thread for a future date)
Work on adjustability. Particularly pitch speed. It'll be mid 60's to upper 40's, and everything in between.

You say how, do you do the Elvis move, is it a secret. I have posted on this site many times how I teach it. I have youtube videos of my daughter doing it. I throw out there what I do.

Straightleg

The Elvis Move is the "push" with the rear foot's toes to move the rear hip, yes?

If not, please explain it.

Here you go again.
The content is the best dvd out there.
Better than Yeager's. And I'm a advocate of him.

Based on what the DVDs seemed to teach... I wouldn't say that those were the best choice. Honestly, I'm a Ted Williams man. The best DVD you can buy is the video version of The Science of Hitting.

This starts after you get balanced
Yes from the ground up. Coil then...
You push with the pad and big toe of the rear foot to get it started

FFS knows I rarely defend him, but Richard blasts him more than anyone else on Hi. I have read the book, but I think you need to take some of what he said and use it and some knowledge has advanced past what Ted thought due to todays scientific research. Same issues I have with Mike Epstein.
Some of the advancement using computers and pressure plates under the feet during the swing Ted didn't have that knowledge. Some of the bat speed tests based on grip are new. I think you need to read different views on hitting to expand your knowledge. Plus nothing like testing this knowledge with students. Like Ken stated it also boils down to the ability to teach that knowledge to a student. Many can talk the talk, but can't teach worth a lick.

We can debate what Howard Carrier presents to students, but he is the BEST teacher around kids I have been around. He has produced results. We can debate if they are good or bad, but if your goal is play softball at the next level, few can match his success.

I coached my dd with the "Elvis Move." Once upon a time, 90% of the people posting agreed with that front knee/back knee relationship and how one chased the other. In fact, some called it the "knee chase drill." Now, they talk about IR and load and ... but basically, most are just changing this loading pattern's description to fit their vocab. As most know, I learned a lot from several including Epstein, Hudgens, Lau, ... as well as Englishbey. Englishbey often talked about "controlling the middle" and getting in to that "sit" position. From there, we used older Pujols video as a model for my daughter. In thinking about the cue "Elvis move" and watching Pujols slightly rotate that front knee inward while loading the hips and then, sit and then, back knee chases front knee, it all made sense to me and dd. She still talks in those terms. Now granted, many here don't like her swing. I'm fine with that. She has this year and next and then it will be over. For us, that swing has paid huge dividends.

If I might add, all of you have so much to offer. Too bad we all, including me, get too personal at times. I can't seem to figure out what I do wrong on this site and so, my video seldom works. I tried to put video of BB up but can't get it to play or any video I have of Pujols. Sorry.
