1st outdoor practice today for my 14U on Long Island, then 3-6 inches of snow possible Wed-Thurs?? arghhh!!

Didn't you guys read the post on how to remove snow from the softball field? Another storm is coming after this one. Our temp. in Tucson is supposed to drop 20 degrees on Sat.

Wow Amy I was feeling bad because our high tomorrow is only going to be in the low 60s but I see on Saturday you will have a high of only 57 degrees, I really feel for you.

I did, you need to respect how committed some people are to softball.

57 will be miserable to us. If it is windy, I will cancel the little girl's lessons and only pitch the HS kids. I mean cold is cold and telling them that it is not, doesn't do any good, (when mom is in the car, with the heater running.)

Funny the regional differences in accepting "cold"....

2 years ago with DD starting varisty freshman pitcher she had to experience a couple initial games WITH snow actually falling WITH 30mph winds. I soooooo wanted to punch the AD in the junk.......

On a related weather topic - I keep wondering how much an infield tarp really costs and I wonder how many of you folks out there already have an infield tarp for your HS softball field. Anyone?

I also get sick thinking about how many games we played with 10 pounds of mud clinging to every players shoes in the wonderful softball season of spring.....

Ahaaa, 60 degrees and partly Sunny Sat for our 14u scrimmages. It will be great to get back to the softball fields. It should be interesting, because of weather and the girls other commitments, they have only practiced one time this year and several were not there then. Oh, well, you got to start somewhere.

Here, if it hits 57, the kids will all run outside in shorts
