#1 Arizona State swept #13 Washington at Seattle. Arizona State is clearly the #1 team in the USA. Arizona State plays #10 Stanford next weekend.

#2 Michigan jumped into 1st place in the Big 10 by beating Minnesota twice. Indiana split with Northwestern. Michigan heads to Lansing to smack around the Spartans for a couple of games, while Indiana heads to Purdue. Michigan won't stumble, and will win another Big 10 title.

#3 Texas split with #9 Missouri. In case anyone is listening: Texas isn't go to make it to Oklahoma City this year.

#4 Florida won all three of its games against #5 Tennessee. Guess I can put this big serving of crow back into the freezer for a while.

#6 Alabama beat Mississippi by a combined score of 36-2. Of the three games, only the last game went 7.

#7 Georgia beat up on Mississippi State.

#8 California won all three of its games with Oregon State. California travels to Tucson next weekend to play the Wildcats.

#10 Stanford had been riding high these last few weeks...but, they lost 2 of 3 to Oregon. Things don't get easier this week as they travel to Tempe to play Arizona State.

#11 Arizona took 2 of 3 from #12 UCLA. It is surprising to see both of these teams playing poorly.

#14 Nebraska left their bats in Lincoln and dropped two to #20 Baylor. #15 Oklahoma handily beat Iowa State in two "wake me up when it is over" contests.

#21 LSU took three from South Carolina. If anyone really believes the Dr. Jeckyl-Mr. Hyde LSU softball team is #21 in the country, then I've got some really good river front property in Cairo, Illinois.
