IMO the biggest transfer addition for any team in the Mountain West Conference HAS to be the transfer of Oregon's Maggie Balint to San Diego State. Balint left Oregon in January of this year after her 2018 coach at Oregon, Mike White, left Oregon for Texas and was replaced by now former Oklahoma assistant Melyssa Lombardi. Balint was projected by some to be the pitching "Ace" for Oregon in 2019 before she left.

In 2018 Balint had a 7-1 win loss record and an E.R.A. of 2.11 in 18 games with 10 starts. She pitched 59.2 innings in 2018 with 62 strikeouts.

There have been 6 transfers this year from other teams to Mtn West Conference teams but this transfer from Oregon to San Diego State - IMO - simply has to be the most impactful transfer for next season in the Mtn West Conference.

It’s a pretty safe bet Balint is the only player anybody might recognize that’s transferring into the Mountain West. Some good teams there, but they don’t get much coverage.

San Diego State also picked up C Sara Lillie (Oregon State) and OF Alexa Schultz (Oklahoma). They weren't powerhouse players on their former teams, but likely to be upgrades for SDSU.

It still stuns me that Oregon had 2 All-American pitchers on campus last year, but neither were playing ball.

I guess they didn't share the coach's vision about the future of the program and let their feet do their talking. It seems the players gave the new coach the fall season for a tryout period before they left.

Looks like the two other now former Boise State softball players who were part of the 2019 BSU team but were removed from the team roster recently have now landed elsewhere.

Tori Bivens (Pitcher) has signed with Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho

Halle Harger (Infielder) has signed with Arizona State. Her father, Jeff Harger, is an assistant coach at Arizona State.
