Hello everyone,

I'm new around here and mostly been lurking, but wanted to see about any books you would recommend for coaching. I like to read and have some down time over the next 3 weeks. I'm fairly new to the coaching world by most standards around here I'm sure. Have 5 years experience in summer ball and now have an 8U travel team. I've been fairly successful in my limited experience on the coaching side of ball and always get great feedback, but I want to learn and get better. I'm sure there is plenty of room for me to grow and be a better/more effective coach. Thanks in advance!

So... you really don't need any books. This forum has everything you need (plus two other sources)

Hitting and pitching - the key threads are pinned in the forums. They can be long, occasionally technical but everyone there is willing to help if you are willing to listen. Throw everything you think you know out and start fresh.

Throwing: Wasserman High Level Throwing program: High Level Throwing: Baseball Edition E-Book - $50.00 - Wasserman Strength - (another throw out what you thought you knew)
Catching: Catching Camp: https://www.catchingcamp.com (gold standard)

That's all you really need to be successful. If you watch ultra-slow motion of high level players, you will see the above implemented by the best. So teach that

I would like to suggest a big bag of popcorn and a 6-pack of adult beverages for a marathon session watching YouTube softball videos. Some baseball videos may also be applicable.
