We play USSSA, ASA and PONY sanctioned tournaments.

Some TB teams are developmental and some are competitive, both serve a purpose. Your DD needs to get off a developmental team and onto a competitive team. When my DD was playing 10U there were C-level teams, B-, B, B+, A-, A and A+, so lots of choices.

Not here.
He came up to me in between games and told me that he wanted to get his fielders some work and that because my DD would strike everyone out his fielders weren't getting any work in.
DD told me the coaches told her she would have just struck out all the batters so that's why she didn't get any time in the circle.

My DD doesn't strike EVERYBODY out. But she doesn't get hit hard either
Well it was sure implied that your DD does.
Find better teams to play against.

8 pitchers? It is impossible to develop that many pitchers. Most teams are lucky to have 2 serviceable pitchers. You are absolutely right in the fact that pitchers need circle time. Do your homework and start sniffing around to see if there might be a better fit. Or have a conversation with the HC to let him know your concerns.

Yes, I understand. But the problem is the teams that were A teams last year aren't A teams this year. The team that won A states last year returned 1 player this year, the rest aged up. That team got trounced in a tournament that they were in with us. Another team that beat us 4 times last year we've beaten 3 time already as their team aged up. It's not easy finding a 10u A level team where I live. The organizations with national level Gold teams either are too far away to make it practical or don't field a team at 10u. Our team will be a B+ team even with the developmental kids we are carrying.

There is nothing preventing your 10U DD from playing on a 12U team...

1. You can't properly develop 8 pitchers on a team. There just aren't enough innings. Pick 3 or 4 pitchers and tell the rest, there won't be many, if any, innings for them on this team.

You can't properly develop 3 pitchers on a team... The ideal is 2 pitchers with one backup.

2. Pitchers need circle time to develop.

Absolutely.

If your DD is as good as you say she is, she needs to be on a more competitive team. Have you looked at some 12U teams?

My positions:

1. You can't properly develop 8 pitchers on a team. There just aren't enough innings. Pick 3 or 4 pitchers and tell the rest, there won't be many, if any, innings for them on this team.

2. Pitchers need circle time to develop. You can't simulate things like adrenaline, pressure or an umpire with a fickle strike zone in practice. Pitchers need to learn to control their emotions, adjust to what's going on out there and then come sit for 10-15 minutes and go back out with limited warm ups and do it again.

Am I wrong to say something to the coaching staff? I just feel like I can't continue to allow them to hold DD back so they can bring along some of the other players who just aren't as good (we have 7 or 8 kids who are good B (possible A level) players and 3 or 4 kids who are developmental). All the coaching moves are geared towards bringing along these developmental kids. I've also been thinking that either her current team just isn't going to be good enough to play at the level DD should be at or the coach isn't putting them in at the proper level they should be at.

IMO, it's not your place to debate how a travel team should be run unless the coaches welcome or solicit that advice. So the fact that you believe a TB team should settle on 4 pitchers (even though I generally agree w/ you) is not really pertinent.

What is pertinent is that you are beginning to question whether this team is a good fit for your DD because of what is taking place. I would address that with the coach in a non-critical way.
