My DD picked the number 30 when she first starting playing at 7 y.o. - I think it was because for as long as I can remember when someone asked me "how old is your DD" I would respond, "she is X going on 30!"

Mine was assigned #13 in high school.

She asked for in it college and they said -no no noooo! We don't use that number! So she picked #33. I see a lot of #33 pitchers on tv, and I don't know why that is.

Mine took #99 when she was 7 (First Tournament Team - First time they weren't assigned numbers) - She asked "Whats the biggest number I can get" - and took that - she was a little disapointed when she found out there was no 99 in school ball -

She went with Her Mothers HS number 18 instead.

Not here.
Mine # 16 for the date she was born. Has always 'lucked out' on getting this number since tee ball. Never had to offer a pole barn in the process.

Wore #27. Lots of people thought it was for Jenny Finch. Imagine their surprise when I told them I chose it because that was my dad's number.

DD wears 37. Was # 7 when she was younger - picked it when she was 7. Moved to a team that already had a 7, 17 and 27, so went with 37. She has always said her grandpa was her lucky charm. One day, he mentioned that 1937 was the year he was born. She had no idea, but won't consider any other number now. They don't have a #37 jersey at college, so she had the number embroidered inside her glove.
