here is what I saw this weekend with paid coaches on another team in my area. I believe coaching fees are $125 a month per player with this team. This team was playing the Fall States (12u) tourney 3 hrs away from their home town. Team mom or dad gets a phone call, "hey, we're (paid coaches) leaving now to head down there for the tourney. 1st game 8am.. they left at 6am, 3hr trip....hmmm not going to make it. They missed the 1st game and got there for the 2nd game. I had to pop some popcorn, pull up the chair and rest my feet on the cooler for this one. Parents in complete meltdown mode on the coaches.
