not closing

My dd is 8 and just started pitching. She has good speed and fairly good control. I recently video taped her and noticed that her push off foot stays on the rubber and she doesn't close her hips. any suggestions on how to fix this? I showed her the video and she has been doing it around the house but still has issues when she pitches outside. I would post video but I am technologically inept.Thanks

Have her do the run through drill. Use three steps before stepping on the pitcher's plate and take them quickly. Hold the ball at her side and bring it straight forward the instant she touches the rubber



If she does this quickly wnough she should not stay open, she should close
