According to fastpitch.com an average pitcher in most parts of the U.S. would have pitching speeds somewhat like this for her age:

11-years old - High 30's to Mid 40's

12-years old - Low 40's to Upper 40's

13-years old - Mid 40's to Low-50's

14-years old - 50+

Average high school pitcher - 53-57 mph
Sorry, that this is off subject, but is this right?
Haven't clocked my dd in a few mos.(I don't have a radar and she only gets clocked a couple times a year, if that) She turns 12 Halloween and was throwing mid-upper 40s. After leaving a solid b team last year she was discouraged because she was their #3(#1 occasionally hit 50and was about 4 inches taller than dd) Trouble is, when her blood sugar is off she's about 5 mph slower.

I think the list suggested averages for an age. You can add 5+ on the high end.
