I don't know about SoAzdad, but I once pitched a no hitter as the coach in 6u coach pitch....so I think I have a seat at the expert table, my stuff was dancing....they couldn't buy a hit that day. Even struck out my own daughter...TWICE!...that's right b*tches....TWICE!

So that framed photo hanging in your office, the one with the pitcher jumping into the catcher's arms, it's from this game?

Very good diagram. I would, however, argue that there should also be a slight bend in the arm at 12:00.

It's a very valid point, Doug. View 1 to 11 o'clock as the loading phase of the whip. That optimal fexion angle should be forming prior to 12... and we want to allow the whip to work some of that angle out, but not all the way to extension and/or hyperextension.

Although I think it's important to keep the elbow/lower arm loose, as JS says above, it never really straightens that much at 6 o'clock:CatBend.JPG
