How to teach the drop

How are you guys teaching that drop slow curve Uno and Miss Pauley throw? I have watched it over and over and it looks like they are turning the top of the ball. Any tips would be helpful

DD throws a pretty good drop curve, and one of the reasons for her success was that when she first learned to throw a curve ball, it was with her hand on top of the ball. After she learned to throw a drop, modifying the delivery to finish with her hand over her left knee (RHP) was an easy adjustment. The finish is essentially half way between a curve and drop ball.
