DD is worst pitcher. We are down by 10 runs, throw her out there to eat innings, we won.

It can be fun sometimes.

I do think DD and family need to have good attitude.

I would NEVER tell my DD to throw meatballs because the college coaches want to see batters hit....not even in batting practice! Someone needs a new pitching coach pronto!

What an idiot!!!! Never throw meatballs.....never!
The showcases my dd attended a couple years ago typically started with a 1-1 count in the box. It was your best stuff vs. my best...period.

DD is 2nd year 14u. We are starting the exposure tournament circuit.

One of the pitching coaches of one of our pitchers told her in an exposure tourney, she should only throw fastballs over the plate and not try to get fancy. He said college coaches want to see speed from the pitchers and lots of hits from the batters.

He went so far as to say the tournament directors will tell the umps to squeeze the strike zone to make sure pitchers have to throw over the plate.

DD pitches and she tells me it's really tough to throw right over the plate because she works so hard on not doing that most of the time.

Opinions? Is this what coaches want to see?

This sounds like advice a coach would give the opposing pitcher.
