We only have a Scheel's here in our hometown with a couple other big-boxes about an hour up the road. All with a horrible FP selection even in season.
I tend to hit the three mom & pop operations we have here local. What they lack in stock they make up for with customer service, and all three local shops offer discounts to local team organizations.
All said and done, I still acquire quite a bit online, but nothing beats being able to put your hands on something and start using it moments after purchase.
