Is there a liner on the mesh, or is that what the hands contact in the stalls?

The stalls are leather.

The kevlar mesh on the JCV-VM (as well as all the other VM models) is virtually indestructible. Wears far better than leather and is a bit lighter as well. It does tend to get dirty, however, and is very difficult to get clean again.

The only mesh Vinci I've ever handled was a AB74-VM, one of the softball coaches at a local college here has one. The mesh on these gloves is tough, wears like iron according to him. I love higher end Rawlings and I did own a mesh Rawlings a couple of years back and the Vinci mesh is definitely better/tougher than the Rawlings mesh. The finger stalls were leather lined.
