So my daughter has been playing travel the last 1.5 years and now freshman in Highschool.

When she joined the travel team we upgraded to the all-star af elite 33.5.

She seems to have an issue with the ball popping out. I thought for a while she had the wrist strap too tight, but still getting it multiple times a game.

Any ideas on what else it could be, trying to find another glove for her to use before looking to buy something else.

It has to be fully broken in at this point.

At last night's high school scrimmage, this was the first time catching this girl. The girls on the travel team seem to focus more on spin vs velocity. The girl last night did have a bit more velocity.

The AS will be on the heavier side - compared to say any $100 alternative. I would say it's comparable to a A2000, and maybe a smidge heavier than a Liberty Advanced. My daughter has the black AS, I have a Liberty. I've used the A2000 a little bit. The lower-cost models (typically Mizuno's non-Pro-Select lines) seem to go a little lighter.

Don't think weight has as much to do with it as spin or technique. It seems at 14U, a changeup is one of the harder pitches to catch cleanly.
