A Breaking Bad reference followed up by a Jungian term. Gotta love DFP.

The reference has always been validated by my signature below...

Syncretical

syn·cre·tism [sing-kri-tiz-uhm, sin-]
–noun
1. the attempted reconciliation or union of different or opposing principles, practices, or parties, as in philosophy or religion.

Finucane is typically mid-sixties. I counted ~12 frames to the bat and 11 frames from bat to impact. I estimate the UCLA batters hit was low 70s

I counted >16 frames from your dd to bat (50 mph max, probably hi 40s) and >15 frames on the return trip. I estimate the shot your dd fielded was 50-53 mph.

I assume 30 fps on the video you posted.

I think a lot of people are learning from this discussion and I appreciate the insights and civility of all of the posters in this thread.

Thank You Sir !!! I know it was not even close... The Frame Count... takes the 40 vs. 43' out of it.... Yes 30 FPS

Yes it Is an ALERT to us ALL. We have been made Aware... Now we must re-visit are Anchors of Archives and choose the proper ACCEPTENCE .

You proved you are willing to try to link disparate things when you had your daughter try to improve her swing by using that zip line contraption :)

OK.... but I seen the relevance of using it for pitching.... I bought it when she was 8.5.... It is awesome for teaching first steps of bunting....second step is Baseballs in a cage @ 70mph.

Never worried about hitting, just pitching / catching / ss / second / bunting.... unitl last year. DD hit 0.500 in MS swinging away

Not sure I'm following you with a water down ball?.......I only posted this because I believe there is no shame in wearing a mask at P or 3B!

Watered down - Men's SP uses a "softer" ball than Women's FP. However, it is really an apples to oranges comparison of the two. In SP every pitch is fat and it is common to hit the ball back up the middle. So the risk is significantly greater, hence the need for the full face helmet.

I think it depends on the association. Our states high school ball is .47cor and 375 compression. That is also the standard specs of a slow pitch ball in our area......But like you said it is apples to oranges, the risk in slow pitch is much more significant...
