Squeeze: try a "Flapper".

A small piece of semi-ridgid fabric or soft plastic,
Attached (sew to, epoxyglued to, etc) an elastic band.
Size the band so it fits "snugly" over DD'supper thigh.
The "flap" should stick outward from the upper thigh by about 2".

Use this as a trainer to achieve brush.
It will give tactile feedback, and allow DD to "hone in" on getting actual brush, while not having to attempt it cold-turkey before she has any kind of consistiency, and wacking her side hard as a result.

If a 2" flap is too difficult to start, make it 4".
When dd can make contact with the 4" flap on better than 2/3 of her pitches, then halve the flap to 2". When she can grt greater than 2/3 contact w the 2", then it's time to lose the flap, and strive to get body brush contact.

I just went through this process w my 10u DD, and it worked really well!
(Thanks JS!)

Thanks for saving me the trouble of digging up my many gifs of GREAT PITCHERS brushing A LOT Ken. OILF- This is one of the areas when you are just plain dead wrong. I tried this myself and I am telling you from first hand experience that it bumped my speed and controlled my accuracy IMMEDIATELY. Your opinion tells me that you simply have not tried it and are just popping off at the fingers.

Corlay- thanks for the flapper advice, I think this is a great tool if you are going for a Hillhouse style, open, brush the belly type of thing. But what I am referring to is a "let your arm contact that hip, all the way to the wrist", Ueno, Pauly, Abbot, Osterman, Smith type of interference. I am not saying that a lower amount of brush is bad, but from what I saw and felt in my own pitching yesterday, I am sold that getting good contact WITH THE HIP/THIGH is the way to go for us.

At a 45 degree angle at least. I see so many girls wearing these at 90 degrees (or straight out from their thigh).
