We used the Foam Tennis Balls - They make a larger practice version - Think It may be 10"

Yeah, my 10u practice pitches with Juggs Lite Flights in our basement hallway. They are heavy enough for the feel but soft enough that they won't wreck the drywall.
Bonus: use them for batting in the backyard too.
You can probably get individual balls someplace, but I got a dozen off Amazon.

Try Diamond Brand Foam balls. They are one of the best investments we've made and are great to hit also. We tried them because her hitting coach (also a pitching coach) said that he liked the seams on them and his light flights seemed to get hard over the years.
Anywhereball has been great for us.

I love these for hitting practice. The limited flight makes them usable in lots of places (including indoors, if you have enough space to swing a bat), and the feedback from the ball lets you know immediately if you squared up.
I purchased 12 of these recently for under $35 at a local sports store. They work great!
