Looking for help with 12yr old DD'S swing.
rdbass, I'm not as knowledgeable as FFS, Jim, etc., but I'll help if I can. I found that the most important aspect was explaining the problem to her, her understanding what was causing it, and how we were going to attempt to fix it. I see your daughter is 12 so she will be more mentally mature...- dukie

I believe the excessive head movement can be mostly attributed to the tee and her trying to kill the ball from it. She and I have discussed the head movement and I don't notice it in the "machine pitch video" above. MrT.....I'll get you some info. Thanks- dukie

Yes....I have a death wish but I'm still pretty quick for an old guy. I have to pitch to her team every game and it is a little unnerving, especially with her. I'm always looking for that, "you made me turn off the TV and do my homework" or "you didn't let me go to my friends house", vengeful...- dukie

Sorry FFS.....I misunderstood. Thought you wanted a "head on" shot of the swing, that's why I posted them. Heck what your asking is simple.....I had to bribe the wife to stand there with the camera, she's a little ball shy. I will delete the videos above and get you what you ask. Thanks.- dukie

I totally agree. I will be glad next year when she moves up to live pitching. We do try to to give them some type of reference with a pretend pitching motion during regular play but in tournament play the umpire just asks "are you ready", and then lets it fly. FFS, once again thank you, and as I stated she will be flattered. I do believe the head movement was somewhat of an anomoly. I've noticed movements and actions are exaggerated when using the tee. Jim, yes, I agree, it's different when it's your child!!!- dukie
