What softball gear is Santa bringing this year?
Oldest DD getting Easton Stealth Retro 34/24. Youngest DD getting Ringor Turf shoes, hopefully her foot has quit growing ! Several college camps for oldest & Rick Pauly pitching clinic 2 weeks ago for both.- DianneD

Diamond9 Showcase - Orlando - this coming weekend - anyone done this before?
Day 1 at Seminole County Sports Complex - guest playing with 18u Gold team. I saw lots of coaches, D1 & D2. Couple of programs that my daughter emailed were there. Diamond9 Showcase - Orlando - this coming weekend - anyone done this before?
Following your post. My daughter is picking up with a team playing there this weekend. She has played in the Summer D9, not well attended by coaches. But we have heard the Fall & Winter D9 showcase are very well attended by coaches & good competitive teams.- DianneD

Mental coach
Our oldest DD has worked with a sports psychologist occasionally for a couple years. They sit down at a coffee shop & chat for an hour, and it seems like a different kid gets back in the car. DD says " after I talk to her, I feel like I'm 10ft tall & bulletproof " . Best sports related money...- DianneD

Riseball - we live in upstate SC & our DD1 has attended several camps, clinics at USC before her ACL surgery, so we follow the program. Thank you for the comment but she did go through extensive rehab, as detailed in my update listed above your post. There was no rushing back, her release was at the orthopedic surgeon & physical therapist recommendation based on her progress.- DianneD

Update: my DD has been released by ortho & PT at 7 months post op ACL reconstruction & lateral meniscus repair. She started off hitting & pitching at 75% around 5 months, then full pitching with no base running or fielding involving cutting motion at 6 months, to fully released at 7 months. I...- DianneD

Thanks y'all ! The recovery is slow progress & the doctor has given his ok to do pitching standing drills only at this point. We are hoping to find a therapist who has some experience with pitchers. So far, they all seem to have a different opinion about when she can resume pitching. The ortho...- DianneD

Pitching after ACL surgery
My 15yo DD had ACL & meniscus surgery 9 weeks ago. Ortho says best case scenario she can possibly return to game play at 5-6 months postoperative. She has started doing some standing still pitching drills but it's going to be a few more weeks before she can use her stride leg in the pitching...- DianneD

Dislocated pinky finger
Not pinky finger, but my RHP broke her R thumb batting this school ball season. 4 weeks in a splint until released to play. Should pitchers bat?
Regarding the Original post, should pitchers bat? My 2018 RHP/1B DD gets recognized more for her hitting than pitching - late to the pitching party but getting there. 2 weeks into high school season & she fractured her right thumb when hit by an inside pitch TWICE at the same at bat. Favorite softball camps
U of TN camps are great, they bring in college & private coaches from all over, all coach instruction, very well run ! The summer camps are hot but my girls have gotten the most from them over Christmas camp, which is just huge !!! So far we haven't found any other collegiate camps that offer...- DianneD

Our 8th grade daughter got the Worth 2Legit 34/24 a few wks ago. The first day out of the wrapper, she hit one out in practice . Hitting great since then & it is her new favorite. Has a LOT of pop !!! Only complaint so far was from an opposing coach who said she cut two balls that were fouled...- DianneD
