That explains how you get the top three pitchers. 50k pays a huge chunk of college.

Thats 50k pocket money...
Beyond the other athletic, academic and miscellaneous money that pays for college.

They also picked up Jocelyn Erickson from OU in the portal. She was a contender for freshman of the year last year.

Aren’t they both injured? Rothrock threw some over the summer but was not as dominant as the year before and did brown throw at all? Were those just incorrect rumors?

Brown was definitely hurt this summer. BTW, the big Florida fan is going to be disappointed if he is expecting her to throw in the high 60's. My DD and her had the same pitching coach and she had the time slot right before us so I know a little bit about the situation.

Did your daughter’s team face her?

Should to top 25 teams have a draft with guaranteed 'NIL' Money per slot? Would be fun and draw a ton of interest.
Could create a launching pad for pro fastpitch. Money naturally draws interest.

So we’re officially saying they are no longer student-athletes with this and choice of major, education level etc doesn’t matter?

I think this is why we are seeing better kids going to high academic D3 schools as referenced in another post. Due to the student part of student athlete getting placed further and further on the back burner with conference realignments and travel schedules and team expectations.

And GIANT d1 rosters with 5th year seniors that consumed much of the playing time.

The girl threw 355 innings over the last two HS seasons. It's no wonder she's hurt.

Season doesn’t start until Feb/March. I, for one, am pulling for her to return to full health.

Just a general question
How many games do you think a good travel ball pitcher can pitch in High School per week?
Shouldn't be travel going on so no games there.
