Mostly depends on the complex. Hidden Valley and Blue Valley can take quite a bit of water. But OSGA gets pretty nasty when wet.
I does depend on the complex, but the comment about OGSA is not accurate. Since the new field surfaces were implemented a year ago, the OGSA field have been playable when most others in the area couldn't.
That all being said, it doesn't look promising for anyone this weekend unless the forecasters are wrong.
Anyone know anything about the SE town fields of Markey, Adair & Frank White?
Way things sound my kids may well end up getting a lot of pool time at the hotel.
Possible tornadoes the next several days, and rain all weekend. Sounds like a normal Memorial Day weekend.
Regarding the ASA sites: Half of Hidden Valley is Ag Lime, and drains well. Legacy Park drains awesome. Wilbur Young is dirt, not Ag Lime and does not drain well.
Regarding the USSSA sites: Frank White does not hold up well. Adair and Markey are two of the best draining complexes in the Midwest. Adair's infields are slightly bowled. So, the water runs off through the dugouts. It could rain several inches and within an hour we have been on the fields at Adair.
