And yes, she is still illegal on every pitch.

ETA - After showing a slo-mo of her, the talking heads with ESPN just admitted she is illegal. Got to wonder which other rules has the NCAA decided to look the other way?

Just watched the LSU-Kentucky game and they called an illegal pitch for 'presentation' or something technical (it was hard to tell), however at the same time we are just going to let them leap around like a kangaroo breaking the rules without a word.

It's only illegal if they call her on it is the way I see it. If you slow mo a lot of these D-1 pitchers I'm sure you could see that they have some sort of leap. Does it really provide them with that much of an advantage? IMO, I don't think it does.

So it is fine as long as you get away with it, it does not provide an advantage and lots of folks do it. No offense but that sounds like an ethically bankrupt statement. Using that logic you can pretty much rationalize any behavior.

Buwhahahaha. Dude, calm down. I can assure you my ethics are just fine. Are you really getting fired up about a pitcher pitching on TV that 99% of us will never face, play against, hit off of, etc.....??? How about we applaud her achievements and quit haggling over a leap or crow hop.

I have a great appreciation for the game and athletic competition and would never applaud the ill gotten achievements of a cheater. I have little respect for those that do and thereby enable and condone such behavior. Honor is doing the right thing even when nobody is watching. Without honor true achievement and success is not possible.

Lol. Man, did she run over your dog or something? I mean c'mon. Again, dude calm down and have a cocktail. i still don't think she is a cheater though!!

Ok.....I am an purest relative to the game of softball.......the leaping-replant (see crowhop) becoming more prevalent in the woman's game is very similar to what has totally happened to the men's game.......I think it is making a mockery of the game. I am kinda like Trump in that we are a nation of laws and we need to follow those laws......well, we have a rule book in softball and it needs to be followed. For the life of me I cannot understand how any umpire working above rec league cannot identify a crowhop.
I wonder what an umpire in baseball would do if a pitcher jumped off the rubber, landed and then initiated his pitch.

Dude, she is cheating whether she knows it or not (an she probably does)

remember the year that they didn't start calling illegal pitches until the playoffs (maybe after the regionals)? Because they hadn't called them all season, it made a mess of the WCWS (IMHO). as I recall it became like watching a LL game.
