We switched server... copying this to another server took almost a whole day... but after it was done. So new threads were created on the old server after files were copied on the new server. And we flipped to the new server, a few threads were lost in the process (last 24-36 hours).

Very sorry about it. It was that or we had to shut down the site for 48 hours.

That being said, this will ensure that the site remains up and running and will be more stable.

Change of server may also bring a few hickups here and there that will need fixing.

The default page for the website appears to be undefined on the new server. If you use http://www.discussfastpitch.com/forum.php you will get in just fine. The reason it works in some browsers and not others is most likely you have a bookmark that contains the default page (forum.php) or another page.

I had trouble most of the day, couldn't get in. Now I'm at home on the ipad and can get in on Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. Internet Explorer keeps sending me to the odd server.

Is the old server still available? I am assuming we were probably working on the old server earlier today. My thought was bring the old server up as a different name and copy todays data over to the new server.

Given the membership fees and the revenue stream that this site creates, I think the loss of some rants and pontifications should not be a concern.

Set your bookmark to http://www.discussfastpitch.com/forum.php and you will have no problem getting to the site.

Problem solved (homepage issue). Please clear your browser's cache.

Thank you for your patience. The issue was from there was a default index.html loading before the correct index.php with the actual size could load. I have moved the index.hmtl and now the site is loading properly from the index.php file for http://www.discussfastpitch.com/ at this time.
