You can do that. I am switching pitchers. If not for her health (Kenzie Fowler has never been the same since her marathon, for one example.)
And you just stated what I described to be true. We are talking repeat 3-4X starters here, not relieving.
It is well know that college baseball teams have a pitching rotation that has been at it all year.
I don't disagree with you. I'd switch too. Or at least I'd like to think I would.
As for baseball starting and relieving are different but when you get to the college WS tuesday's starter might go 135 P and then be thursdays reliever for 40 P when he's used to going once a week for about 110 P. It's not that diffrent from a girl used to throwing 3 games in 3 days now being asked to throw 6 games in 5 days in the WCWS. I agree it would be better if they had 2 to 3 girls they trusted and spread the workload but until someone is sucessful a few times with that model in the WCWS I think you are going to see a coach riding his/her horse.
