I also think if you are "Good enough" coaches will find you.

That might be true in mens sports with big recruiting budgets. In women's softball you need to do a majority of the work contacting coaches or your DD will never get noticed. The girls who play in college are the ones who marketed themselves the best and aren't always necessarily the best players.

And as the Basketball coach of the girl in the OP, I would find someone else as well. If you sign up for something you commit to it (Season) and if you cannot then do not sign up.

One advantage/disadvantage to living up north is the weather limits what can be done in the winter time...so there is not a lot of spill over from one sport to another.

I also think if you are "Good enough" coaches will find you.

This may be true but do you want to play for anybody, or somebody?

I would say that one thing that being a successful multi-sport athlete proves,
is that the kid knows how to work hard AND juggle a schedule. If she has good grades to boot, then that is really saying something, IMO.

If the athlete is already on your radar, while excelling at multiple sports,
assuming she picks yours, just imagine her upside once 100% of her efforts are directed at that single sport...
