Life goes on. (Shameless brag alert!) Youngest DD is a 13yo 7th grader who started every game for the 8th grade boys this year, finishing as the second highest scorer on the season. From the mouths of the boys in the area..."she ballin'."

In your face
I guess there is life after softball, or so I've heard. DD quit last year, still going to college full time and co-owner of rental real estate with her 20yo boyfriend. She stays up many a night drafting their books, and sometimes has to leave in the middle of the night to help him on emergency service calls.

They also just purchased a used skid steer and a back hoe this fall, as they do small demolition and landscaping on the weekend. They purchased one ugly single wide trailer ( $650 ) and fixed it up to rent out. Three years later they have 13 units. I honestly don't know how she finds the time nor energy for school and the business. I am proud of her desire and work ethic.

But daughter, don't worry about me. I know I haven't been home since your last game.......last year, but I'm fine. Just need to sit here and work some things out in my mind. See you soon.

Goingdeep, you DD is a pretty impressive young lady. She learned a lot about life and how to succeed from softball.

Gee, sounds like you've got someone who is a heck of a business person.
