Not if I am calling pitches.
  1. Don't be afraid to backfoot bait. If your crowding the plate they will probably pitch inside. As they are getting ready to pitch slide your back foot off the plate 4-6 inches then load and go.
Never heard this but my DD does crowd the plate and I might try it.

My pitcher son loved kids that crowded the plate. Any pitch from middle in is hard to get any wood on.

Most non-MLB pitchers are afraid to throw to hitters crowding since they might hit them. They end up throwing to the outer half, which is their sweet spot.
