One of the catchers on my DD's softball team was recently diagnosed with a UCL tear in her elbow. Full recovery would require surgery (the famous "Tommy John" surgery). I'd love to hear some feedback from people who have experience with this type of injury. How was the surgery/rehab/return to competitiion? How long was the process? I've read that it typically takes 12-24 months to fully recover?
