Good advice given so far and technically I really have nothing to add. The only thing I will say, which you probably already know, is that 99.9% of the time if you want to be a good hitter you have practice hitting... a lot.
Sounds like she has really concentrated on pitching so some of the issues may just be from a lack of reps. If she is serious about making herself a hitter she will have to spend as least as much time hitting as she does pitching.
