My 16u team is done. ...no pitchers showed for tryouts so i have to find teams for my loyal players who stuck with me and rose above the parent drama that a parent created that broke the team's back. After I do so I will probably retire from Travel Softball. I coached for 10 years without having a daughter to coach and my heart is broken after hearing the mean things that were being said about the team. Maybe one day I will come back but I will concentrate on improving my HS softball program and spend more time with my so . So as the title says....So Long, Farewell and Amen to travel ball

It's actually a mix of Sound of Music (So Long, Farewell) and MASH (Goodbye, Farewell and Amen).

This makes me sad I hate all the drama and cattiness with parents when it comes to this sport. Being a coach is hard, I've seen them get little recognition or respect and as a parent, it's not something I want to teach my child.
