Sad but Proud of DD

Well the DD who is a 5th grader (elementary school) got invited to try out for the middle school team that represents the feeder schools to her eventual high school. She made the team on one tryout and was so pumped up to play with the older girls and against better competition. Team has several travel players on it and is same level of kid she’d face. She’s played three rec seasons prior to this with success but disappointed at level of competition. She got three practices in and the corona hit. Found out yesterday season is canceled. She’s been invited to play for a travel squad but she was really looking forward to this. I was really proud of her at tryouts when she was catching a girl who was throwing 57mph much faster than anything she’s seen at catcher. Oh well got her uni so we took pics. Ready for this crap to be over.
