Run-In?

My DD has a screwball "tail" on her FB that causes it to "run in" on right handed batters...is that what you are referring to?
 
It's like a "screwball"...exactly what JAD described. (Thanks JAD):)

I hadn't heard that name used before that's why I was asking.


There is also a "run-out" which I assume would be the "curve" version??? She hasn't got to that yet!

I have never heard of a pitch specifically called a "run in" or "run out". DD's screwball runs up and into a batters hands and her curve runs out away from the batters hands. She also throws a "knuckle ball" change up.

I was asking because of a particular wind up and motions that look to the batter like you are 'running in' towards them. Two steps to that one.
