I know but looking up illegal bat saved everyone some aggregation.

I do not have a printed copy of Asa rules, just local rules.

I had to go to the LL Softball rulebook to get the actual rule:

Rule 8.01: "...In either delivery, a forward step is taken with the free foot. The pivot foot may drag off the rubber as the pitch is delivered, but the pitcher may not drag or “crow hop” the pivot foot to a new spot ahead of the rubber and push off from there, nor leap and deliver the ball with the pivot foot in the air."

Part of me figures this is what that coach was talking about, but again, I couldn't see it from my POV, hence why I said nothing. This coach has a very weak team, so anytime he's losing he "works the rulebook". Nothing that's never been done before. I would've had his team tonight but we were rained out. However my 16U team picks up games in the end of June, and in the event that I need to protest something, I'd at least rather know how to address a blue like I would/should be addressed as well.
