Is TEE hitting as part of a pregame warmup a good plan? Where would/should one place the height of the TEE? Waist-ish? Should be hitting at stride foot so they actually set up to the right of the TEE as they are facing it to take a stride into the ball?
Is there a thread on DFP about basic/generic TEE work? I have searched but haven't found anything.

Edited: this is for 12U Rec

The placement of the tee should be where you would expect to hit the ball in a game. Most people put it in the wrong place.

It should be at the ball of the front foot, AFTER the stride.

If this is tee-ball, I would have the tee up relatively high (just above their waist). Otherwise, you can practice lo/med/high.

Tee work is always a good idea no matter the age group. Kids can do it without supervision and it's usually pretty safe. As far as placement, you change your stance so you can work on the outside pitch, the inside pitch, high pitch, etc. DD's team would have a riseball pitch station. They placed the tee on a bucket and raised to chest level. Unfortunately, DD thinks she can hit every High pitch!!!
