Practice Swing???

Watching Auburn v. Tenn on tv. Several of the girls have an extremely exagerated
arch in their back at the conclusion of their prac swing. Also, went to D3 game this week girls on one of teams did same. What is the purpose for this - any ideas? Getting feeling this is stupid ? as i prepare to hit "post" button.

It is part of "finishing high" that gets taught around here. Sometimes it looks to be taken way too far, but can't really argue with the results for most that adopt this style....
