After reading another thread and seeing the Pony Nationals are here in NC I was wondering why "we" , North Carolinians, don't hear more about it. Is this a league type thing or is it travel ball based? It may be more popular in the eastern part of the state, I don't know. But here in the western part if it's rec. ball it's little league, and travel ball it's ASA, NSA, or AAU. Maybe for some of the teams coming in from out of state you could schedule a scrimage with a local team not in the nationals.....it could give you a extra game or two at no cost.....just a thought.

Pony is primarily a league level program but has added some travel ball competition to the national tournaments. When my daughter started playing in central texas the local program was Pony and they had some great rules for a league team. If you are a travel team then I would look for something a little different but like I said they will have a travel component.
