I was leaning towards Escobedo. But after Carda hit those two clutch HRs off her my mind is made up. Carda is the best all around player in D1. She put UCLA on her back and carried them to a W in the circle and in the box.

Good choices. I don't think Hugo is in the running for the award but she has a great future. That HR against Alabama was clutch. Romero is a great hitter too, may end up being the one we call the best ever. Who hits
500 as a sophmore?

OMG!! I just noticed that Moulton isn't even a finalist. Outrageous. The bias against the Big 10 and northern schools (see the rankings) is nothing short of pernicious. I cannot wait for the regionals to begin!! CAN'T freaking wait!!!!
