Yesterday at my DD advanced 8U softball practice I noticed that she is the only that did not have one of these Monsta Web Wilson A440 gloves. For the most part these 11.5" A440s looked giant on these small girls, particularly next to my relatively big DD and her normal 11.5" rawlings glove. My first inclination is that these oversized webs might be a gimmick or something that teaches bad habbits, but most of them seem to do pretty well with them.
It isn't like she came to me after practice and begged me for one. She didn't even notice that her glove was different. My inclination is keep her in her normal Rawlings 11.5" glove and obtain a higher quality 12" glove to start breaking in and have her get accustomed to it before she starts using it in games or team practices.
i just wonder if I am missing out on something? Perhaps my old school ways are keepin my DD from taking advantage of this new technology?
