I've been holding off on posting this until a few things settled down but just can't wait anymore....
We had the opportunity to work with JavaSource several weeks ago while we were back in western NY visiting family. I'm originally from that area but have lived in CO most of my so-called grown up life. The stars all aligned perfectly and DW and my DD's (identical twins running the battery as pitcher/catcher) drove through some of my old stomping grounds to see if this DFP pitching guru who had already helped us so much with his written word and skills video was really all that. Well, the short answer is an emphatic YES!! Java had picked up several things from watching just a few quick video clips of my kid, we discussed those and a couple other items via phone and then when we all got together on the field it was truly magical (at least for us). The single most awesome, beneficial pitching session we have ever had!!
I could go on gushing about how the lightbulbs just kept coming on or how excited my daughter was (and still is...her notes and drills which resulted from this session contain pure gold) but I think you get the idea. Mechanics. mental toughness, pitch selection, etc, etc... all great stuff that we needed so badly. My DD Catcher Beast even got some precious tips on working behind the dish! Java, on behalf of all of us THANK YOU!!
If any of you get a chance to visit Java don't hesitate, his skills at communicating and relating pitching mechanics are absolutely phenomenal not to mention he just is a really good guy who made it fun for my DD's while challenging them at every turn. Mike, we really look forward to seeing you again whether it be East Coast, Rocky Mtns, out West or via the 'net! Take care my friend and until next time....all the best!
